Acoustic Guitar Tuner is used to tune the pitch of a guitar to a specific level. There are various systems by which one can tune their guitar; some come fitted with electronic LCD displays others have LED systems which indicate atonement. There are three parts to the process of tuning a guitar; they are the notification of sharp, matched and flat pitches.

These will be shown on an LCD screen where a small meter much like the speedometer indicates the pitch of your guitar. If you have a LED tuner then the three lights will turn on at the right pitch. For the sharp and flat pitches the red light will come on and the green of your pitch matches the correct one.

Acoustic Guitar Tuner can be used in two ways, firstly through the plug input and the other via the microphone. If you are using the microphone then place them close to the source of the sound and then play the guitar. The sound produced by the guitar will be picked up by the guitar and interpreted by the computer chip in the tuner and indicate the sharpness or flatness of the pitch.

If you are using the plug input of the Acoustic Guitar Tuner then plug the guitar into the amp and play it. The sound will be electronically interpreted for its pitch. Acoustic Guitar Tuner can be used for other instruments like the trumpets and saxophones too besides finding vocal pitches; as the process of interpretation is the same.
